The CCGSD intersectionally promotes diversity in gender identity, gender expression, and romantic and/or sexual orientation in all its forms on a national level through services in the areas of education, health, and advocacy. Their resources and programming can be used to uplift gender and sexual minorities, as well as educational tools for building allyship.

Canada’s leading organization for 2SLGBTQI people and issues. Their mission is to improve and save lives through research, education, awareness, and advocacy. Their website has many helpful tools for allies, research studies, and advocacy campaigns to support. They also offer free webinars. 

An American-based national network of educators, students, and schools that provide research and resources to cultivate a safe and supportive environment for all students, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. They have many helpful tools for educators and GSAs, and anti-bullying education. 

A nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe through inspiring media programming and educational resources. Their online video database contains over 60,000 stories to provide hope and encouragement to young LGBTQ+ people.

A national charitable organization, founded by parents who wished to help themselves and their family members understand and accept their LGBTQ2S children. Their mission is to support, educate and provide resources to anyone with questions or concerns, and to offer local emotional peer-to-peer family support.

A volunteer-run national organization dedicated to creating space for people who identify as both Muslim and queer and trans. They offer supports and programs for those in the queer/trans Muslim community, and  advocate for social justice for members of this community.

Calgary based organization connecting trans and gender diverse youth, adults and families with comprehensive and low barrier access to the support they need and deserve including: community, mental health, medical services and educational opportunities. They offer free weekly virtual drop-in support groups for any trans and gender diverse youth and families in Alberta.

An American nonprofit organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning youth. Crisis line only available in the USA, but contains many resources and research online.

An organization dedicated to Two-Spirit and Indigenous youth mental health support. Includes great resources such as a Two-Spirit video dictionary.

Updated and  monitored regularly by the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre  (“ACLRC”), this hub provides links to information and resources, in Alberta, for LGBTQ+ people and allies. The website is focused on human rights and services for youth and young adults.
